The Roman Room technique which is also known as the Method of Loci is a very effective and sophisticated mnemonic system used to learn foreign languages. Using the technique requires a vivid imagination. In order to use the technique, start imagining a room that you are familiar with and then within the room are objects. Associate the images representing the information you want to remember with the objects in the room and then to recall information, simply take a tour around the room in your head and visualize the known objects and their associated images.
